Quanta Launceston Retail Trust

The Everyday Retail Centre located at 1-15 St John Street, Launceston, is a heritage listed large format retail centre in the heart of Launceston’s CBD. It is 100% leased to ASX national tenants being BCF, Supercheap Auto, Beacon Lighting and one of Europe’s largest banks, Rabobank. The centre was refurbished and redeveloped in 2012. The Property benefits from high exposure from three street frontages and is in close proximity to other large format uses such as Anaconda, Harvey Norman, Bunnings, Officeworks, Spotlight, JB Hi Fi and The Good Guys. The Trust will have a term of 7 years with an anticipated investment horizon of 5 years.

This Trust currently consists of 3 assets and was established in March 2021, with the acquisitions of 3 medical clinics with long term leases located in the Mackay region of Queensland. The Tenant is Family Heath Care Mackay Group which is part of the Better Medical group of practices. The fourth asset for the trust was acquired in July 2021, Yamanto Village is a fully leased modern convenience centre constructed in 2016. It benefits from a complimentary mix of tenants including an Ampol Service Station, 3 National Fast Food Drive-thrus, a Gym, a Dentist, and 7 supporting Restaurant/Retail Specialties. In February 2024, 1 of the medical clinic assets, Rural View, was sold as part of the Trust's ongoing strategy, achieving a premium to the original purchase price.

First Parking is a Brisbane based car park operator which aims to maximise customer satisfaction and the value of its car parking assets through its unique operating model and pricing structure. First Parking has an innovative culture which drives the continuous development, improvement and long-term ambitions of the company. Traditionally in Australia, the car parking market has been controlled by two major players. The majority of the car parking facilities they control, operate under a commercial lease model. To generate revenue, pricing models are typically generated on a per site basis, which can be overcomplicated, confusing and frustrating for both customers and car park owners. First Parking’s simplified pricing model and streamlined management structure allows for an extremely competitive price structure which focuses on utilization and turnover of parking bays as opposed to charging overinflated rates.
